    Interpretation of the value of red cultural heritage in Shanghai based on 3D visualization technology

    Shanghai is the gathering place of the Red Cultural Heritage. Based on a questionnaire analysis of 1,047 respondents on the interpretation of the value of red cultural heritage in Shanghai, this study shows that people lack the impression of Shanghai’s “red cultural heritage agglomeration” and the lack of red heritage value display and interpretation, which is mainly due to the lack of representative red IP in Shanghai. Based on the practice of a major virtual reality display project, fully relying on scientific and technological means to achieve three-dimensional visual value interpretation of red heritage is conducive to the transformation and upgrading of red tourism resources to red tourism bases, the development of red tourism products that are popular in the market, and ultimately promote the protection and utilization of red heritage sites. At the same time, talent training and mobilizing community participation enthusiasm are equally important for the display and interpretation of red cultural heritage

    Rethinking Advertising Skepticism in China after West

    Abstract: The present article reviews skepticism on the instrument of advertising in China which emphasizes that advertising in its existing institution doesn’t fit in the Chinese context. The literature reveals that consumer perceives the meaning of controversial, deceitful and waste of resources of advertising practice. It is reason of consumption of luxurious goods and increases the values of advertised item. Consumerism, consumer culture, sexual imagery, materialism and social differences are the conducive elements by advertisers to exploit for their utmost desire of maximization of profits. The review indicates that the regulation/code of conduct of advertising in the Western style is not a panacea. The elucidation of advertising as phenomena can arguably be addressed in the indigenous socio-political and cultural setting. In post-socialist China, Confucius ideals recommended as cultural, political, social and economic manifestation for authorities. It is suggested that institutionalization of advertising in accordance to Confucius’ “li”, “ren” and “xiaokang” serve the objectives of harmony, fair balance between economic growth and development and moreover issues concerning to the ecology. La littérature montre que le consommateur perçoit le sens de la controverse, fourbe et le gaspillage des ressources de la pratique de la publicité. C'est la raison de la consommation de biens de luxe et augmente les valeurs de l'annonce. Société de consommation, la culture de consommation, de l'imagerie sexuelle, le matérialisme et les différences sociales sont les éléments conductifs par les annonceurs d'exploiter pour leur plus grand désir de maximisation des profits. L'examen indique que le règlement / code de conduite de la publicité dans le style Occidental n'est pas une panacée. L'élucidation de la publicité en tant que phénomènes peut sans doute être abordée dans le contexte socio-politique et culturelle de milieu indigène. En post-socialiste de la Chine, les idéaux de Confucius ont recommandé que les manifestations culturelles, politiques, sociales et économiques pour les autorités. Il est suggéré que l'institutionnalisation de la publicité conformément selon le Confucius "li", "ren" et "xiaokang" servent les objectifs de l'harmonie, le juste équilibre entre la croissance économique et le développement et d'ailleurs les questions relatives à l'écologie.     Latent Class Model with Application to Speaker Diarization

    In this paper, we apply a latent class model (LCM) to the task of speaker diarization. LCM is similar to Patrick Kenny's variational Bayes (VB) method in that it uses soft information and avoids premature hard decisions in its iterations. In contrast to the VB method, which is based on a generative model, LCM provides a framework allowing both generative and discriminative models. The discriminative property is realized through the use of i-vector (Ivec), probabilistic linear discriminative analysis (PLDA), and a support vector machine (SVM) in this work. Systems denoted as LCM-Ivec-PLDA, LCM-Ivec-SVM, and LCM-Ivec-Hybrid are introduced. In addition, three further improvements are applied to enhance its performance. 1) Adding neighbor windows to extract more speaker information for each short segment. 2) Using a hidden Markov model to avoid frequent speaker change points. 3) Using an agglomerative hierarchical cluster to do initialization and present hard and soft priors, in order to overcome the problem of initial sensitivity. Experiments on the National Institute of Standards and Technology Rich Transcription 2009 speaker diarization database, under the condition of a single distant microphone, show that the diarization error rate (DER) of the proposed methods has substantial relative improvements compared with mainstream systems. Compared to the VB method, the relative improvements of LCM-Ivec-PLDA, LCM-Ivec-SVM, and LCM-Ivec-Hybrid systems are 23.5%, 27.1%, and 43.0%, respectively. Experiments on our collected database, CALLHOME97, CALLHOME00 and SRE08 short2-summed trial conditions also show that the proposed LCM-Ivec-Hybrid system has the best overall performance

    Genome-wide DNA methylation profiling by modified reduced representation bisulfite sequencing in Brassica rapa suggests that epigenetic modifications play a key role in polyploid genome evolution

    Brassica rapa includes some of the most important vegetables worldwide as well as oilseed crops. The complete annotated genome sequence confirmed its paleohexaploid origins and provides opportunities for exploring the detailed process of polyploid genome evolution. We generated a genome-wide DNA methylation profile for B. rapa using a modified reduced representation bisulfite sequencing (RRBS) method. This sampling represented 2.24% of all CG loci (2.5 x 105), 2.16% CHG (2.7 x 105) and 1.68% CHH loci (1.05 x 105) (where H = A, T or C). Our sampling of DNA methylation in B. rapa indicated that 52.4% of CG sites were present as 5mCG, with 31.8% of CHG and 8.3% of CHH. It was found that genic regions of single copy genes had significantly higher methylation compared to those of two or three copy genes. Differences in degree of genic DNA methylation were observed in a hierarchical relationship corresponding to the relative age of the three ancestral subgenomes, primarily accounted by single-copy genes. RNA-seq analysis revealed that overall the level of transcription was negatively correlated with mean gene methylation content and depended on copy number or associated with the different subgenomes. These results provide new insights into the role epigenetic variation plays in polyploid genome evolution, and suggest an alternative mechanism for duplicate gene loss

The two pyridine rings form a dihedral angle of 84.63 (7)°. The two benzene rings in L are twisted at 58.83 (5)°. Weak inter­molecular C—H⋯F hydrogen bonds consolidate the crystal packing

    A new score system for predicting response to cardiac resynchronization therapy

    Background: The aim of this study was to establish a score system derived from clinical, echocardiographic and electrocardiographic indexes and evaluate its clinical value for cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) patient selection. Methods: Ninety-three patients receiving CRT were enrolled. A patient selection score system was generated by the clinical, echocardiographic and electrocardiographic parameters achieving a significant level by univariate and multivariate Cox regression model. The positive response to CRT was a left ventricular end systolic volume decrease of ≥ 15% and not reaching primary clinical endpoint (death or re-hospitalization for heart failure) at the end of follow-up. Results: Thirty-nine patients were CRT non-responders (41.94%) and 54 were responders (58.06%). A 4-point score system was generated based on tricuspid annular plane systolic ex­cursion (TAPSE), longitudinal strain (LS), and complete left bundle branch block (CLBBB) combined with a wide QRS duration (QRSd). The sensitivity and specificity for prediction of a positive response to CRT at a score > 2 were 0.823 and 0.850, respectively (AUC: 0.92295% CI 0.691–0.916, p< 0.001). Conclusions: A patient selection score system based on the integration of TAPSE, LS and CLBBB combined with a wide QRSd can help to predict positive response to CRT effectively and reliably
